Ep9: Blaine @Pennidog

Today’s interview is with Blain, the dogdad to Penni @pennidog, an beautiful pit mix rescue with an amazing story of transformation. After an unimaginably terrible life for nearly two years, Penni was rescued in New York. Then she was adopted By Blain who worked tirelessly to help her blossom from a frightened pup to the confident and happy girl that she is today. Together, they moved from the east coast to Las Vegas, and Penni’s adventuring abilities along with her level of happiness soared even higher.

Some of their favorite places to explore close to Las Vegas are Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, with a multitude of trails and canyons to explore. To the east is Lake Mead National Recreation Area, which according the National Park Service website, is “America’s most diverse National Recreation Area!”

Farther away from their home in Vegas, Blaine and Penni have adventured in southern Utah at the Grand Staricase-Escalante National Monument, Lake Powell, Zion National Park, and Moab, Utah. Blain’s favorite place has been Havasu Falls in the Havasupai Reservation near Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona.

Penni and Blaine have been featured in a number of media outlets including a video by The Dodo, an article on National Geographic, and several more. All of their media stories, along with loads of information about products they use, and most importantly, Penni’s full story can be found at www.pennidog.com.

Blain gave a shout out to the rescue group @Fur_Friends_in_Need, Meeko and Sarah @kittenbear, Saoly Benson Photography @saolybensonphoto, and The Dodo @thedodo for her feature.
